Baby Buzz- Our fist sonogram

Today we had our first real doctors appt. and sonogram. The baby's growth is right where it should be and our due date is accurate. We got to see the baby's heart beating and that was neat. The baby is really small so we didn't get to see much when it came to body parts but just knowing that everything is OK makes us happy. Warri has told us that he wants the baby to be a boy and he was disappointed when we left the doctors office without the baby in our arms. I guess he thought we were going to have the baby today. I explained to him that the baby has to grow inside mommy before it will be able to meet him and he seemed to be ok with that. This was Corey's first time experiencing a sonogram so I know that he was excited even though he tried not to show it. When I was pregnant with Warri, Corey missed a lot due to his deployments and I am glad that he was here for this one. I'm sure the 2nd one will be even more special because we will be about 20 weeks pregnant and we will be able to really see the growth of our baby.

Nesbit News- Oh Boy or Girl!!

We're Pregnant !!

I found out a few weeks ago that we were expecting our 2nd child. It was a big shock for us due to not being able to get pregnant for a few years but as soon as we stopped trying it happened. I wanted to find a creative way to tell Corey so this is what I did. I went to Target and bought a pack of onesies and some baby socks. I took one of Warri's fabric markers and wrote " Hi daddy I'm on my way" on the t-shirt. Beside that I placed the positive pregnancy test along with a pair of the socks. I was sitting on the bed waiting with the camera ready to capture his reaction. As soon as he walked in the door his eyes wandered over to the bed where I had everything laid out and as you can see from the picture he was happy. We told Warri a few days later and he is just so excited and ready for the baby to be here. I went to the doctor to get a blood test done and it came back positive as well. I figured it would because I have been having really bad morning sickness. We have been given a due date of Jan 27, 2007. We will be sure to keep you posted with our upcoming doctor's appts and any exciting Baby Buzz .

Warri's World- Pre-School Graduation

Congratulations Dolphin Class of 2006!!!

On May 11,2006 our son Warri-Ali graduated pre-school. He woke up that morning very excited to be able to put on his cap and gown, just like a big boy. They all looked very cute in their miniature gowns and they were all on their best behavior. As a class they performed songs to show off how much they have learned over the past year. Their teacher called off their names one by one and they received their pre-school diplomas. Corey and I are so proud of our little man and we can't believe how fast the time has flown. I can remember when Warri was a baby and now he is 5yrs old and will be starting kindergarden soon. Congratulation once again to our graduate!!!

Nesbit News- Our new House

We're Homeowners!! We finally bought our first house. It has been a long road with a lot of ups and downs but it was well worth it. We bought a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with a 2 car garage. It has about 1900 sqft and we have a very nice sized back yard. We're moved in now but we have yet to turn this house into our home. We will be doing some remolding/redecorating in the near future so look for updates on our progress. Warri loves his new home and all the neighborhood kids that he gets to play with. This has truly been a dream come true and now the hard work really begins.

Welcome to The Nesbit Nest

Hi Everyone. I decided to start this blog so my family and friends could share in the moments of our lives. I have a few friends that have blogs and they are very neat. Since my family and friends are so spread out I thought this might just work for us. As you all know we are currently living in Jacksonville, FL due to our recent move with the military. The transition from one coast to the other has been a very unique experience in itself but we are happy to finally be here. The heat will take some time to get used to, if that's even possible. We hope you enjoy sharing in our lives as much as we enjoy sharing our lives with you. Stay tuned for the latest Nesbit News in future posts.
